In a pivotal moment for faith-based broadcasting in the region, the newly appointed Board of Directors for Hope Channel Uganda was officially inaugurated on September 21, 2026.

 

The inauguration proceedings commenced with opening remarks from Pastor Kaggwa, who outlined the purpose of the meeting and set a focused tone for the administrative transition.

 

Following the opening address, Pastor Samuel Mwebaza, Assistant to the President of the Uganda Union, led the gathering in prayer and officially charged the board members with their new responsibilities. Emphasizing the core mission of the network, Pastor Mwebaza urged the leadership team to remain steadfast in making disciples and delivering message-driven media that restores hope to the hopeless—a mission intrinsic to the Hope Channel identity.

 

The official transfer of leadership took place as Pastor Mwebaza presented the executive file documents to the incoming Board Chairman, Eng. Jonathan Muwonge, who then delivered his acceptance speech, expressing commitment to advancing the channel's reach and impact.

 

With the formal inauguration complete, the newly established board will now move to elect key working committees—including Human Resources, Marketing, Programming, and Finance—to oversee operational governance.
