Parliament of Uganda suggests Friday as national cleaning day for Adventist

The Chairperson of Parliament’s Physical Infrastructure and Planning Committee, Hon. Mwine Mpaka, has briefed the media following a morning engagement with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) leaders led by the Minister for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs, Hon. Minsa Kabanda.
Hon. Mpaka revealed that Minister Kabanda informed the meeting that Cabinet, during its sitting on Monday, resolved that Seventh-day Adventists will participate in the national cleaning exercise on the last Friday of every month, instead of Saturday, like other participants. The adjustment is intended to allow members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to observe the Sabbath.
The Uganda Union Mission has not yet reacted to this communication.
